The curtain, the swiveling stool, the mad dash to cram and maneuver bodies, the sudden bursts of light and anticipation of the photo strip sliding into your hands: it’s all photo booth magic! And it’s timeless. In an age of rapid-fire digital images, and a cell phone camera in everyone’s pocket, the allure of waiting—huh? waiting?—several minutes for that whoosh—aaaahhh!—of four little photos is inexplicably irresistible.

detour!

I’m off on a road trip today, with a friend who’s in search of a houseboat he can reno, and then launch his dreams upon. We’re going to check one out, and then spend the afternoon taking as many detours as possible! So, I’ll leave you with a little something sure to bring a smile.
